Peter Pause Restaurant

Family run short-order breakfast place, been around since 1958. Very easy to miss. Even using Google Maps, we drove right by it, had to double back. Boy, I'm glad we did!A converted first floor of an old home, it's definitely old school, yet very clean and well maintained. We arrived a bit before the morning rush. The staff was very warm, friendly and attentive. They made sure we had beverages quickly, tool our order promptly and checked on us multiple times, even after things got busy. We sat at the counter so I could watch the action. Everything is fresh. Whole eggs, homemade Italian bread and the like. Sure, they had home fries, bacon and sausage mostly cooked on the grill, but this is a short-order place. The woman running the grill was efficient, accurate and fun to watch in action.I had an eggplant and mozzarella omelette, which was awesome! Italian bread toast was outstanding too. Give Peter Pause a try. Great place!
